Hannah Randolph was a 15 year old girl who lived in my town. She went to elementry school and middle school with me. In elementry school, she, Fiona and I would play together at our afterschool program. If there is one thing I will always remember about her, it's her modest, kind, quiet was that seemed to brighten up anyone's day.
On Sunday, February 19, she was skiing on an expert course in Colorado. Something went wrong, and she lost control, slamming into a tree. Ski patrol tried to revive her using expert cpr, but to no avail. When they got her to the ski lodge medical clinic, she was already gone.
It's not like she did anything stupid. She was wearing a helmet. She was an expert skier, I'm sure she'd skied that very course before. She was strong, smart, fast, so what went wrong? She just wasn't lucky, and was taken from us at age 15.
She was the last person to deserve this. Though I hadn't talked to her in maybe a year because of our grade difference, I remember her well. When my twin told me that a freshman died, I was curious, thinking I wouldn't know them. I don't know too many freshmen. But it was her. I didn't believe it. Who would believe it? But she's gone.
I want everyone here on dA, if you knew her or not, to just pay your respects, pray for her family, anything. She deserves it. She was the sweetest person on earth. No one amounts to her. I doubt a single cruel word every passed her mind or lips.
So Hannah, Rest In Peace. You will be forever missed. Goodbye.
