Hello everyone!

*MoonsongWolf runs Whisker City (website link: [link] ), a small, non-profit rescue here in Colorado just for rats and right now, we have a little one who needs some serious help.

Atropos, or Ati as shes been lovingly called at the rescue, was surrendered to them with what is either a terrible injury or birth defect. It appears the bottom half of her hind leg has been either chopped off or she was born with the deformity, but now it has become a life-threatening matter. Her previous owner had let the leg get infected, as Ati was still attempting to use it to get around, and unless we can get the rest of the leg amputated it's very possible she'll have to be euthanized.

The rescue is small, pretty much run out-of-pocket, and the last fosters they've taken in have completely drained our vet funds. They're looking for anyone who is able to help out little Ati get her surgery - any amount is helpful!

She has her appointment for Tuesday morning (May 31st) to access her leg and possibly perform the surgery that day. She'll be going to VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital here in Denver, CO. As this is a rescue, they can hopefully work out a smaller bill with VCA but we're they are looking at a hefty cost to save this little one's life. Also note them before or afterward if you wish to donate for a journal feature, so that they know to include you.

Although *MoonsongWolf asks that you donate directly to the rat rescue, please include your DA name and also what the donation is for (Moonsongwolf commission or feature) in the special instructions block of your payment. That way, they will be able to verify with *rileymai that you indeed made the donation. They are also able to accept other forms of payment, such as money orders.
